Background

Patterns, colors and shapes from nature have appeared to me to be extremely mature, complete and convincing, ever since I was a child. I still experience the fact that nature can design as it does on its own initiative, as a form of magic. I like animal prints - just as much now as when I was a child, and it has not been influenced by fashions and trends that have come and gone. It would be pointless for me to copy designs that have already been made by nature, but I can have some fun by highlighting some elements of it. Like here in the photo art series DOT PANTHER, where I have used a small part of a bad photo of a panther. The "small part" is divided into four different pattern versions and functions as a basis for a stylized "copy", that I have created in the form of a rasterized surface. The four pattern versions can function individually as independent image motifs, or be put together according to numbered instructions to form a larger overall image that consists of all four images.

Limited Edition

The artworks are available in sizes: 60 x 60 cm and 100 x 100 cm. Limited edition only - max 25 copies of each motif in each size. The motif is printed on high quality acrylic glass, with a metal backing and integrated wall mount (no additional glass or frame required).
